Here along the marshlands of southeast North Carolina, you will find one of the true gems of the Grand Strand.  Carved through majestic oaks and Carolina pines, you will experience the feel of some of the great links courses of Scotland, along with some of the parkland style courses found in the United States.  Oyster Bay combines a rare blend of penal and strategic philosophies of golf course architecture.  Water will come into play on fifteen out of eighteen holes.  All the while you will have to navigate around its cavernous bunkers and wickedly undulating greens.  Then throw in the not so calm winds blowing off the Atlantic Ocean, and you will find a layout that is both unique and challenging.  Although we are located less then a mile from the Atlantic Ocean, you will encounter unique elevation changes from the tee and into the greens – especially on the signature 13th hole with the green elevated 25 feet above the tee where you’ll be faced with the choice of laying up with a fairway wood or long iron, or go for broke and let the big dog hunt!!  Whatever the decision, this hole will take your breath away.

A Great Track For All Golfers

What high handicappers will like about Oyster Bay:  With two sets of forward tees, it is a very fair golf course.  Everything is in front of you with no blind shots and no hidden hazards.  Don’t let the talk of all of the water scare you – the key is that it’s visible from the tee box on every hole so you know how to stay away.

What low handicappers will like about Oyster Bay:  A very difficult golf course from the back tees – featuring lengthy par 4’s that require accuracy off the tee.

Is there wildlife on the course?  We have all kinds of wildlife throughout the course, mostly the gators!  And yes, they are real!!

Part Of A Great Family

Oyster Bay (Sunset Beach, NC) is one of five golf courses that are owned and operated by Arnold Palmer Golf Management in the Myrtle Beach market, with the others being Legends Heathland, Moorland, and Parkland (Myrtle Beach, SC), as well as The Heritage Club (Pawleys Island, SC).  These five golf courses are widely considered to be among the very best that the Golf Capital of the World has to offer and have been annually recognized for their quality of product and service.  These 5 courses are part of the most requested golf package in Myrtle Beach – Legends 4th Round FREE – which in addition to a free premium round of golf, also includes a breakfast buffet, lunch from the menu, and 2 draft beers or fountain drinks with all of your golf rounds!  Without question, the most valuable and very best experience offered in Myrtle Beach.
